We all marvel at the fabulous king-size quilts our mommas made and think, "I'll never have time to create something like that!" But just like us quilters, quilts come in all shapes and sizes. They can be made into table runners, napkins and place mats, wall-hangings, toss pillows and pot holders. Anything that you can imagine sewing can be made into a quilt. And when you're done, you've created a keepsake that will be treasured. 

Some projects can take a little as a few hours, from start to finish. And keep in mind, quilts are a process, not an event. A wall hanging today can be part of a comforter tomorrow. There are no absolute rules to what a "quilt' is. And that's half the fun.

Quilting is easy to learn whether you have sewing skills or not. The essential tools you'll need are a rotary cutter, cutting mat, ruler, scissors, graph paper, needles, quilting hoop, fabric and a sewing machine. That's it.
